About Headlight
Headlight is run by Lew Bentley, plus an organic team of creators, project managers and experts who assist on projects as required.
Lew has an extensive background in strategic planning, research and business development consulting. He has previously worked in senior strategic roles at Clemenger BBDO, M&C Saatchi and The Campaign Palace; and he is a former Research Director of CM Research (since morphed into Kantar).
While based in New Zealand, he currently has a fractional Head of Strategy, Research & Insight role with Rumbletown in Brisbane. Rumbletown includes Rumble Strategic Creative (Australian Small Agency of the Year in 2024), Romeo (digital experience agency) and Edison (business-to-business performance agency).
This experience has given Lew a deep appreciation of how to understand and influence people with behavioural economics and communication.
He has worked with many different private sector and public sector clients in many different categories in New Zealand, Australia and other markets.
Lew is also a recognised marketing author and presenter, and he is a regular Judge in the Advertising Effectiveness and Marketing Awards.
Outside work Lew plays a scratchy guitar and makes a mean hot sauce.
